摘要
The free market does not deliver equality. In a social market economy, to reconcile economic efficiency and social security, some propose an unconditional cash payment that flows monthly from the state budget to everybody to cover the sociocultural subsistence minimum. Despite the dispute about the income unconditionallity, this proposal has at least three important attractions. First, it is probably the first real opportunity in history to recognize the caring work done, unpaid, by women. Secondly, it could be a response to the problem generated by cognitive capitalism and the development of Artificial Intelligence. Finally, a Basic Income would be an effective tool to alleviate the current crisis of unemployment and job insecurity
