摘要
Introduction: In this study, the resistance potentials of the micro-organisms isolated from Kahramanmaras Necip Fazil City Hospital between March 2016-March 2017 to various disinfectants and antiseptics were investigated. Materials and Methods: The isolates were identified using biochemical methods and VITEK 2 device. Ten strains of each one of the bacteria species identified (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Acinetobacter baumannii, Enterococcus faecalis, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia) and four standard strains (P. aeruginosa 27853, E. coli 25922, S. aureus 6538, E. faecalis 29212) were treated in different dilution and duration times against the disinfectants of benzalkonium chloride (10%), povidone iodure (10%), sodium hypochlorite (5%), ethyl alcohol (70%) and gluteraldehyde (2%) in different concentrations, and they were inoculated into their respective media and investigated. Results: In the present study, sodium hypochloride was found to be a highly effective disinfectant even at low concentrations, it was determined that 1: 200 dilution was effective against all bacteria at all times except the first minute. It was detected that almost all bacteria could reproduce in 1:100 dilution of gluteraldehyde, and other disinfectants were found to have inhibitive capabilities in varying dilution ratios and duration times against the bacteria. Conclusion: By taking into consideration the effectiveness of the disinfectants as regards their concentration and waiting time and in view of the fact that the application of the disinfectant may vary according to hospitals, it would be appropriate for each hospital to set up its own disinfectant policy and to generalise the use of the disinfectants and antiseptics considered appropriate among the hospital personnel.
