摘要：
The transcription, analyses of the graphic, orthographic and linguistic characteristics and vocabulary of the unpublished Croatian version of St Eustace's Legend (called Od Placida, viteza rimskoga) are provided in the paper. On the basis of comparison with the Latin version of the same legend in the popular Legenda Aurea the conclusion about the direct translation from Latin is formed. Linguistic characteristics of the text lead to assumption about the cakavian provenance of the text (southern part of the cakavianikavian-ekavian dialect), precisely the region of the island Vrgada or northern regions.
