The rationalization and automation now needed in the meat industry increasingly require support and control by computers. New information on technology and process engineering is also constantly coming to light - and this includes cooked ham production lines - and this needs to be bound into an overall computer-supported concept. Here scales terminals have developed into staff computers with extensive hardware and with software on a general basis and specific to the customer.
