THE SOLIDARITY ECONOMY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNITY TOURISM ON SANTAY ISLAND

In this article, the theoretical elements of solidarity economy are systematized taking into account the different actors involved in community tourism and their interrelation based on existing associations. As a result, we obtain the theoretical-methodological framework of studies on the Solidarity Economy and the characteristics and complexities of a relationship with community tourism in the international context and in Ecuador. This will help as the basis for the development of a model that favors the growth and tourist development of the San Jacinto de Santay community.
