USE OF GEOPROCESSAMENTO FOR LANDMARK OF AREAS OF PERMANENT PRESERVATION, IN A MICRON BASIN OF THE RIVER DOVE, IN THE CITY OF CATAGUASES (MG)

Using Geo-processing techniques, this research is focused on the Permanent Preservation Areas (APP) through a micron basin in the Rio Pomba, in SW of Cataguases (MG) having as legal base the resolution n degrees 303 of CONAMA of 20th March, 2002. The vegetal area in that spot, before its transformation, was called "Floresta Estacional Semidecidual", and its waters used through that area for several economical activities such as agrarian ones, furniture industry, fruits pulp, irrigation, electric power generation, slaughter houses and mining activities. The APPs' maps are very important ecologically and socially because they have the purpose of preserving the bio-diversity, the under waters' quality, the mitigation of the erosive energy and are very important for maintaining life's quality and human development in the cities because they are associated to Sustainability.
