VITALITY OF MICROSCOPIC FUNGI IN MARINE AND FRESH-WATER, CONTAMINATED BY PHOSPHORUS

Different concentrations of phosphorus in sea and river waters influenced at the growth of micromycetes from Estonian soil have been studied. The waters contaminated by phosphorus in the concentration 0.15-1.5 g/l stimulated lifeactivity of microscopic fungi and prolonged its lifetime. The growth of microorganisms has been inhibited in the presence of high phosphorus concentration (15 g/l) although is depended from temperature of water and Fungal species.
