摘要：
A classical model of a Wigner crystal in a quantum dot is developed where the electrons are treated as point charges. For small clusters of electrons, the ground state is found to have a regular shell-like structure. A feature of the model is the existence of alternative metastable configurations with a slightly higher energy than the ground state. © 1993 Academic Press. All rights reserved.
