LOCALIZED RANDOM WAVE DESCRIPTION OF BICONTINUOUS MICROEMULSIONS

摘要
The morphology of the dividing surface in bicontinuous microemulsions can be described by a level surface of a superposition of random plane waves. We find that good agreement with neutron-scattering data and electron micrographs can be obtained by using a superposition of localized random waves, where the wave envelope decays with a characteristic correlation length ξ. © 1990 American Chemical Society.
