SPIN-WAVES IN NONFERROMAGNETIC METALS WITH QUASI-LOCAL ELECTRON-STATES IN A QUANTIZING MAGNETIC-FIELD

The effect of quasi-local electron states in the field of impurity atoms on the spectrum and damping of transverse quantum spin waves in nonferromagnetic metals in a quantizing magnetic field is considered. It is shown that the frequency change of the spin wave spectrum takes place in the region of the intersection of dispersion curve of spin wave with the frequency of resonance electron transitions between the quasi-local levels and the Landau ones. Two rather than one branches of the wave spectrum are found to exist in each transparent region. The dispersion law and the damping decrement of these waves are calculated.
