SORPTION OF CESIUM AND STRONTIUM FROM MINERALIZED AQUEOUS-SOLUTIONS ON NATURAL ALUMINOSILICATES MODIFIED BY FERROCYANIDES OF HEAVY-METALS

摘要
The sorption behavior of natural aluminosilicates (bentonite and clinoptilolite) and aluminosilicates modified by ferrocyanides of heavy metals has been studied relative to radionuclides Cs-137 and Sr-90 in the presence of various quantities of alkali and alkaline-earth ions. It has been shown that the distribution coefficients of the modified samples may exceed 100 for Sr2+ and 10,000 for Cs+; however, with a concentration of mineral background over 1.0 g . liter-1, the competing ions strongly depress the sorption properties of the aluminosilicates.
