摘要
Accidents and complications during the placement of dental implants in the posterior maxilla, after dental extraction, are susceptible to occur, mainly when the surgical planning does not take into account the attention for this region of special conditions regarding other regions of the maxilo-mandibular complex. Therefore, the displacement or migration of dental implant into the maxillary sinus is an undesirable occurrence that must be undergo early surgical intervention. The aim of this paper is to present a clinical case of displacement of a dental implant into the maxillary sinus and its surgical removal by Caldwell Luc-technique.
