摘要：
An estimate is made of the conditions and the effectiveness of the generation of oceanic turbulence as a result of instability of the velocity gradients in drift flows; large-scale stratified geostrophic flows; and mesoscale unsteady and Ekman bottom flows. In addition, a study is made of the breaking of surface waves, the instability of internal waves, and convection in layers with unstable density stratification.
