摘要
The paper addresses the effect of Christianity in general and the Catholic Church in particular on the ethics of environmental protection, focusing its attention on the need to re-evaluate and reconsider our relationship to nature and on the role of women in environmental sensitization of the Roman Catholic Church. Ecological sensitization is in fact seen as one of the fundamental challenges of our time. In light of understanding the active role of Christianity in ethical and ecological sensitization of individuals and societies, the paper draws attention to the prejudice and negative stereotype of human domination over nature that has marked the collective memory and consciousness of Western society and Christianity. Furthermore, it highlights some positive developments with regard to environmental protection and responsibility for creation on the part of the Catholic Church
