摘要
Automation devices are no longer peripheral components of control systems but are integral parts of the system. The integration demands are increasing. This becomes apparent for the activities of main system providers. Device descriptions, proxy function blocks, diagnosis strategies and fieldbus profiles are technologies which stand for deep integration. Additionally, they are relevant for the overall life cycle of the plant. Only consistent integration models and integration methods together with suitable technologies lead to satisfactory benefits for the end users. The multiple facets of existing approaches are reported and assessed. Recommendations are made for future developments.
