摘要
The propagation of electromagnetic waves emitted by a point source in a plane waveguide with a local geometrical irregularity is investigated. The irregularity under consideration is a spherical impedance surface projecting out of the plane of the upper waveguide bound. In the scalar approximation. the problem is reduced to a two-dimensional integral equation around the surface of irregularity, the solution being obtained by iterations. The solution for the regular plane waveguide is taken as an initial approximation. Numerical results are given of estimated local ionospheric irregularity influence on the vertical electric dipole field in the Earth-ionosphere waveguide.
