摘要
Exacerbation of asthma is characterised by a rapid intensification of the symptoms of the disease, such as shortness of breath, cough and chest tightness. According to actual guidelines (GINA, NAEP), the prevention of asthma exacerbation is one of the aims of treating asthma. So far, dozens of factors have been described that may aggravate the course of the disease. Our knowledge of those factors may help in developing more effective prevention and treatment procedures to reduce the costs of asthmatic patient care and prevent severe complications, including death.
