摘要
Experimental evidence has shown that for certain ratios of axial to tangential velocity, at the inlet of a rotating cavity with an axial throughflow of air, vortex breakdown can occur. A non-isothermal, laminar prediction made using computational fluid dynamics techniques (CFD) shows evidence of this. At vortex breakdown the predicted mass flow entering the cavity varies significantly with time.
