摘要
Domain-oriented design environments (DODEs) support the generation and evolution of applications within a particular domain. They reduce the large conceptual distance between problem-domain semantics and software artifacts and they emphasize a human-centered approach facilitating communication about evolving systems among all stakeholders. This paper discusses the major problems and challenges for future software systems, develops a conceptual framework to address these problems, and describes the major architectural models required for the development of DODEs.
