WET-END TROUBLESHOOTING - PIPELINE PRESSURE PULSATION ANALYSIS

The applicaion of pressure pulsation analysis techniques to wet-end troubleshooting is discussed in detail. Although directed mainly at headbox and approach flow pipeline studies, these techniques are applicable to any paper mill where pressure measurements can be made. Data acquisition procedures and equipment requirements are presented. The analysis and interpretation of the data are described. Several case histories are presented to illustrate how the techniques are applied, and actual data taken during two surveys are analyzed to familiarize the reader with the type of results that can be obtained.
