摘要
Aseismic design of steel frame constructions defines usage of capable mechanical and geometrical material characteristics during the seismic action with controlled energy dissipation. This paper presents dynamic nonlinear time history analysis of several steel frame models with comparison of results. The accent is pointed on brace application with different shape which are placed concentrically and eccentrically wit aim to investigate construction response and make conclusions about better energy dissipation of models. In this analysis accelerograms of two earthquakes NorthRidge and Kobe were used, which caused great damages in steel constructions.
