摘要
Decapod remains (carapaces but mainly appendices) were found in interbedded marls within diatomites from the Messinian (Late Miocene) near Oran (Western Algeria). They belong to 16 taxa corresponding to 8 different families: Callianassidae, Galatheidae, Parthenopidae, Majidae, Cancridae, Portunidae, Xanthidae, and 1 incertae sedis family. Their description is followed by a short survey of their affinities with other decapod faunas from the Messinian, the Mediterranean Neogene, and the Recent.
