CRYSTAL-FIELD IN SOME RARE-EARTH INTERMETALLICS ANALYZED IN TERMS OF THE SUPERPOSITION MODEL

摘要
The reliable experimental data of the crystal field parameters in the REPd3 (RE = Pr, Nd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm), (RE, Y)Pd3, REB6 (RE = Pr, Nd), PrX2 (X = Ni, Rh, Ir, Pt, Ru, Mg), RENi2, (RE, T)Al2 (T = Sc, Y), and RENi5 intermetallic compounds are analysed in terms of the superposition model. The obtained systematic behaviour of intrinsic parameters supports the applicability of the model in RE intermetallics. The validity of the usual power-law expression, connection with the results of ab-initio calculations, and further possible tests of the model are discussed.
