摘要
A brief report on velocity and attenuation of longitudinal sound in high magnetic fields for CeRu2Si2 and UPt3 is given. A spin fluctuation relaxation time can be determined from these experiments. Anomalies in sound velocity and ultrasonic attenuation for magnetic fields applied along magnetic easy directions are discussed. These anomalies can be described by a magnetic Gruneisen parameter ΩB which turns out to be the same as ΩT determined from thermal expansion or temperature dependent elastic constants.
