摘要：
ARCADE is an architecture supporting dynamic configuration of distributed, mixed language applications. Configuration management in ARCADE is not supported by a single component, but by a set of components distributed in the network and interacting by means of a global configuration service. The novel features of ARCADE include, that ARCADE (1) is universal as it does not restrict the set of supported programming languages, (2) allows integration of programming languages with built-in configuration support, (3) is open-ended concerning supported programming languages, configuration strategies and communication systems.
