FURTHER ADDITIONS TO THE BRYOPHYTE FLORA OF MANITOBA

Six species and 2 varieties of bryophytes are recorded from Manitoba for the 1st time. The occurrence in Manitoba of 2 spp. recorded in the literature, but not in recent checklists is confirmed. [Eight taxa added to the known bryophyte flora of Manitoba are as follows: Cladopodiella fluitans (Nees) Joerg., Dicranella schreberiana (Hedw.) Schimp, var. robusta (Schimp.) ex Braithw., Drepanocladus tundrae (H. Arn.) Loeske, D. uncinatus (Hedw.) Warnst. var. Subjulaceus (B.S.G.) Warnst., Hyphum subimponens Lesq., Philonotis marchia (Hedw.) Brid., Physcomitrella patens (Hedw.) B.S.G. and Splachnum luteum Hedw.].
