摘要：
We investigate the diamagnetic response of small metal particles using a quadratic confinement potential. We find that the dependence of the susceptibility on the magnetic field is rather sensitive to the symmetry of the applied confinement, while the dependence on the system size is similar to that of the bulk limit. © 1990 Springer-Verlag.
