CHAOS IN NONLINEAR FIELD INSTABILITY

摘要
The normal field instability is investigated under the influence of external modulations near a point of bifurcation H(c). A time varying magnetic field is superimposed on the system. Numerical integration of the evolution equation yields a cascade of period-doubling sequences and saddle node bifurcation. The orbits of odd periods are also observed. The existence of a strange attractor and the intermittency route to chaos is exhibited in the numerical simulation.
