THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE STATE AND SOCIETY IN LATIN AMERICA IN THE XXI CENTURY

Once again, the Journal of Andean Political Studies is publishing a new number. This Vol. II, N degrees 2 brings an excellent set of articles that, since now, are generating a lot of questions to the Latin American scientific community. Therefore, to elaborate an introduction that reflects the ideas, the main concerns of the authors', is a great responsibility besides a pleasurable and rewarding intellectual work, especially for the quality of the papers and the reflection that the articles requires, all of them, related to the remaining dilemmas that many Estates faces in this contemporary and globalized world. I invite you to venture into this brief description of the items and their contributions to the understanding of the State and the complex relationship that it has with a variety of social actors in the beginning of the new century.
