摘要
Migratory movements have grown spectacularly for the last few years. The school system in our country has been affected by the demographic changes that have taken place in the last decade. A great number of students at schools in our country is attending programmes of family to school language change, which do not fulfil the requirements of linguistic immersion programmes. Due to the great amount of family languages spoken by the students, the educational system can not be organised according to the parameters of bilingual education. This does not mean that students are doomed to school failure. From educational practice and from the modification of school organisation, solutions can be found so that all students progress along compulsory schooling. The article analyses the necessary conditions for an educational practice which facilitates the learning of the school language. We also suggest criteria for the assessment of these students.
