A specific feature of the situation in post-Soviet Russia has been and still is the lack of a unified and welltargeted strategies in the social sphere, which led to the adoption of situational decisions, often due to political considerations and aimed at improving the living standards of tem-porary certain categories of the population. On the constant strategic line in the pension field RF talk is premature. In this regard, it is extremely important to adequately identify issues to improve the pension system and outline ways of the solution.
