IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme) in Turkey and its Geography Content

The change we call globalisation has been diverting people living in our planet to be the global citizens in today's world in which borders are gradualy disappearing and communities are much more interconnected with each other. People are searching for more qualified benefiting from education as a need of global citizenship. International education organizations which are commonly practiced in many countries came out as a result of that search. International programs that are being practiced in our country in this context are so new. International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is one of the international programs in our contry and is not well known among the education society. This research is putting forward the contents of geography courses by explaining what IBDP is and its implementation in our country. In our study, a different perspective on both international education and place of Geography in this context is aimed to be given to educutors.
