CALCULATION OF THE SIZE OF THE PARTICLES IN A TIO2 POWDER OBTAINED IN A CHEMICAL PROCESS IN A PLASMA BY THE METHOD OF MOMENTS

摘要
A model for calculating the moments of the particle-size distribution function of an ultradispersed TiO2 powder obtained by decomposing TiCl4 in a low-temperature air plasma has been proposed. The calculated values of the arithmetic mean diameter of the particles in the powder have been compared with the values predicted by the self-preserving solution of Smoluchowski's equation and with the experimentally observed values.
