Farewell to Reformism - Pope Francis and the Social Doctrine of the Church

The aim of this article is to analyze the change o f orientation that is taking place in the Social Doctrine of the Church in the pontificate of Pope Francis, with a reversal in the traditional reformist orientation of this set of documents. This is, especially, in the papal social encyclicals that since the Rerum Novarum (1891) of Pope Leo XIII, have presented a reforming position as a general guiding principle of the Catholic Church in its relationship with the capitalist system.
