摘要：
In the last decade there is an increased scientific interest in the application of the repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and its therapeutic application in psychiatry and neurology, including epilepsy. This is a review of recent knowledge about pathogenesis of epilepsy and principles of transcranial magnetic stimulation and rTMS (equipment, application, contraindications and safety). A special attention is given on the low frequency rTMS in the treatment of epilepsy. The new perspective for rTMS application in patients with epilepsy are analysed and discussed.
