6TH ORDER DERIVATIVE EXPANSION OF ONE-LOOP EFFECTIVE ACTIONS

摘要：
A covariant derivative expansion is carried out up to sixth order for the functional determinant Tr log ((i partial derivative A(mu) + A(mu)(X))2 + U(X)). An efficient method proposed by Chan is used which makes no assumptions on the internal symmetry group of the external fields A(mu)(x) and U(x). The relation between our formula and the Seeley-DeWitt coefficients is established.
