摘要：
The article describes and analyses relations of the Brazilian cinema and/or independent, with the Law12.485/2011, more known as Pay TV Law. The actions more meaningful are in the amplification of the fomentation through the Audiovisual sectorial fund and in the guaranties of distribution in pay TV channels. The results of the first three years of the law allowed to prove the selectivity of cinema recognized by this regulatory mechanism. The article searches to rescue the relations of this selectivity with a modern ideal and its recon-figuration in the globalization, and finds in the predominant speech of the convergence, a political obstacle.
