One hundred years of solitude: a fiction that turns forty

This article presents a personal itinerary of Garcia's Marquez novel from its appearance in the bookstores until the celebration of the forty years of its publication. It also includes a series of aspects related with the study of the work. Discussions and wrought interpretations along their readings, critical approaches that, by way of perseverance, they are sample of an interest and care on the part of the specialists in the revision task and pleasure with the Colombian author's narrative.
