摘要
This paper analyzes the implementation of the project on the teaching of history with character and intervention research, developed within initial teacher education, specifically as part of supervised training activities. The locus of action was a class of 7th grade of elementary school. We sought to answer the following question: how to use pictures and written sources in history classroom in Basic Education to promote student learning? Research results demonstrate the possibility of treating such types of sources as mediators between students and knowledge, which can be seen through the increased participation of students in school activities as well as improvements in the ability to read and interpret documents.
