摘要：

This article addresses the issue of Human Rights and the person deprived of liberty, rescues briefly the origin of Human Rights, emphasizing the French Revolution, the historical process in Brazil and the importance of the Universal Declaration. It emphasizes the origin of prisons, the Penal Execution Law, as well as the various forms of human rights violations in the Prison System.
