A new method is proposed to synthesize controllers for the robust pole-assignment of linear uncertain systems in a specified disk. The proposed method, instead of solving the Lyapunov matrix equation, requires only the simple computation of the spectral radius of a non-negative matrix. A presented state feedback control design algorithm can be used, for a given set of perturbations, to select the control gain for which the system is pole-assignment robust. Examples are given to demonstrate the use of the proposed method and to illustrate the improvement of the proposed design approach over the design method reported recently.
