摘要
The Art of Seeing Program is a visual literacy pilot program at McMaster University developed as a collaboration between the McMaster Museum of Art and the Department of Family Medicine with the goal to explore whether the facilitated viewing of art could increase more than observational skills in Family Medicine residents. The Art of Seeing Program presented the arts alongside reflective practice as coupled aids for family physicians in training in order to increase both their observational and interpretative skills and to promote a more humanistic approach to medicine. This article provides a description of the program, as well as observations by the students themselves.
