摘要
This experience arises from courses on e-learning implementation aimed at members of corporations and Universities in Latin America and the Caribbean. The interest in these courses confirms the existence of a variety of virtual education programs in the region and, consequently, the growing acceptance of e-learning. Universities have been developing new experiences and research projects that meet the population's new educational needs, and working on new teaching and learning programs, that allow their countries to become more competitive. In this context, it was decided to create a virtual community of members belonging to universities that have been implementing or wish to start e-learning projects, with the purpose of constructing knowledge and elaborating a collaborative product. The project was directed by Susana Trabaldo and Nancy Piriz. The general coordination was in charge of Graciela Lorenzatti, and Beatriz Aquino and Edgar Salgado Garcia were active collaborators.
