摘要：
Eco-tourism is among the most important trends of the tourism development. However, there is a lack of sustainability in the contemporary development of eco-tourism. The paper aims at analyzing the development of eco-tourism in Lithuania in terms of implementation of the sustainable tourism goals. Accordingly the paper discusses the development of the eco-tourism throughout the world and summarizes the evolution of eco-tourism. The carried out research on development of the eco-tourism in Lithuania encompasses of analysis of the strategic documents as well as expert assessment. As a result, the main factors of ecotourism development were identified.
