摘要
Objective: To investigate the change of lipid profile from polyunsaturated fatty acid supplementation (Omega-3) comparing sedentary women and practitioners physical activity. Materials and methods: selected eight women aged 30 +/- 4.08 years, who had weight 69 +/- 3.3 kg, height 1.60 +/- 0.05 m and BMI >= 25 kg / m(2). The sample was divided into two groups, one for physically active and other sedentary individuals. Were instructed to food record for one week thereafter subjected to blood collection for analysis of markers lipid. Participants received the supplement omega-3 (3 capsules 1000mg of fish oil / day) Each capsule consisted of 180mg of EPA and 120mg of DHA be taken for 30 days. Results: In relation to plasma profile parameters of LDL and TG for individuals engaged in physical activity had statistical significance (p < 0.01 and p = 0.01; respectively). In sedentary subjects was not observed no significant change. Discussion: Several studies have found that foods rich in omega-3 and physical activity improves the lipid profile of individuals undergoing these procedures. Conclusion: There is a need of more studies which have greater diet control, increasing the weekly frequency of exercise and supplementation period.
