The author investigates the question of how interpretation functions from the point of view of its style. This is the most personal and the most secret variable in the practice of psychoanalysis. The way that intervention operates in psychoanalytic psychodrama is taken as the model for elaborative interpretation. In order to be effective, interpretation must result in an effect of creation for the patient, in such a way that the excitation becomes instinctualised. Thus the << primary >> emerges << secondarily >> at different moments of the psychoanalytic treatment.
