Perception and awareness as tools for Environmental Education

摘要
This work is a clipping from a qualitative research performed as a phenomenological nature carried out in the Master Degree Program during the subject Environmental Education (EE). A process of intervention was evaluated as subvention to the environmental awareness in and for EE, and covered an environmental awareness diagnose, followed by an intervention and posterior evaluation of the process. A video about floods in Vale do Itajai/SC, alternated with images from preserved nature and from places destroyed by floods was presented and discussed as a tool for awareness. Among the results, it was possible observe that some individuals perception was influenced by the media; part of students realize the nature as 'vindictive', and other part pointed the human being as a destroyer; The environment destroyed by floods was that most impressed them, and most of them pointed the necessity to people take on a sustainable approach.
