摘要
Positron emission tomography (PET) is a non-invasive tracer technique for application in humans. Since its development, the acceptance of this technique has grown due to the fact that it makes available a vast array of investigative measurements not possible earlier. Central to PET's uniqueness is its sensitivity and its ability to map within an organ the distributed biochemical and physiological alterations that result from a pathological, behavioral or pharmacological perturbation.
