摘要：
A procedure is presented for optimization of the design of molding rotors for automated production lines. The optimum ratio of the height of the die plate of the rotor to the height of the drum for which twisting of the rotor shaft that develops during molding due to a significant difference between the moments of inertia of the components of the rotor would be minimum, is analyzed. Minimization of twisting of the rotor shaft makes it possible to enhance its operational reliability. The method of Lagrange multipliers, which yields the most general results for similar problems, was used to search for the optimal solution.
