Talar body fractures are severe injuries with a historically poor prognosis. Outcomes of the injuries are optimized by stable accurate internal fixation. We describe a posteromedial approach for the treatment of posterior talar body fractures, which forgoes the need for a periarticular osteotomy of the fibula or the medial malleolus.
